Before you book
Quick answers.
Do I need a deposit?
Yes. The amount is confirmed after we review your booking request on WhatsApp — typically £35–£80, taken off the final price.
How much is the deposit?
£35–£80 depending on size and design complexity. It comes off your final price on the day.
How do I pay the deposit?
Bank transfer or a card link, sent over WhatsApp once your design and date are confirmed.
Can I get my deposit back?
Deposits are non-refundable, but if you reschedule with at least 48 hours' notice we'll move it to your new date.
Can I reschedule my appointment?
Yes — message us on WhatsApp with at least 48 hours' notice and we'll move your deposit to a new date.
How far in advance should I book?
Small pieces usually 2–3 weeks. Larger custom work 4–8 weeks. Hand and neck pieces sometimes longer.
How much does a small tattoo cost?
From £90. Final price depends on size, placement, and detail.
Do you charge by the hour or piece?
Smaller pieces are quoted as a flat price. Larger custom work uses a session or day rate, agreed before we start.
What's your minimum charge?
£90 for the smallest pieces.
Can I send reference images?
Please do. Drop them in the WhatsApp chat with placement notes and rough size. Screenshots are welcome.
Do you do custom designs?
Yes — every piece is drawn around your brief, references, and placement.
How long does a custom design take?
A first draft is usually ready 1–2 days before your appointment.
Can I see the design before the appointment?
Yes — we share the draft so you can suggest changes before stencil day.
Can I make changes on the day?
Small tweaks yes. Big changes usually mean rescheduling so the design gets the time it needs.
Do you do flash designs?
Yes — ask Jason to send the current flash sheet on WhatsApp.
What should I wear?
Loose, dark clothes that easily expose the area being tattooed. Avoid your favourite white t-shirt.
Should I eat before my appointment?
Yes — a proper meal an hour or two before, plus plenty of water. Avoid alcohol the night before.
Can I bring a friend?
One person is fine for support. The studio is small so we ask not to bring more.
How long will my session take?
Small pieces 1–2 hours, custom sessions 3–6 hours, full days up to 8 hours with breaks.
Do I need to bring ID?
Yes — photo ID with your date of birth. We can't tattoo without it.
Can I take breaks during the session?
Of course — just say when you need one.
Do you take card payments?
Yes — card and bank transfer. Cash welcome too.
How do I look after my new tattoo?
Keep the wrap on overnight, wash gently with unscented soap twice a day, and moisturise. We send you home with full instructions.
What should I avoid after getting tattooed?
No swimming, soaking, sunbeds, scratching, or sweaty gym sessions. Keep direct sun off it for at least 2 weeks.
When can I take the wrap off?
After 24 hours unless we tell you otherwise. Larger pieces sometimes use a second-skin wrap that stays on longer.
What aftercare cream do you recommend?
We send a tube home with you. Bepanthen or unscented Aveeno also work well.
Can I exercise after a tattoo?
Light movement is fine after 48 hours. Heavy gym, contact sport, or anything stretching the skin — wait 7–10 days.
When can I shower?
Same day, but keep the water lukewarm and don't soak the area.
Can I go swimming?
Wait at least 2 weeks. Pools, the sea, and hot tubs are off-limits until fully healed.
Can I get sun on my tattoo?
Avoid direct sun for 2–3 weeks, then use SPF50 on it for the first year to keep colours sharp.
How long does a tattoo take to heal?
The surface heals in 2–3 weeks. Deeper healing takes up to 6 weeks before settling fully.
Is itching normal?
Completely. Tap the skin or moisturise — never scratch.
Are touch-ups free?
Yes — free within 6 months if you've followed aftercare. After that there's a small touch-up fee.
When should I book a touch-up?
Wait until your tattoo is fully healed, usually 6–8 weeks after the appointment.
Do you tattoo hands and necks?
Yes, after a placement consultation so the design suits the area and heals well.
Do you tattoo faces?
Only for clients with existing visible work, and only after a face-to-face consultation.
Are some placements more painful?
Ribs, sternum, hands, feet, and necks tend to be the most sensitive. Forearms, calves, and thighs are usually the easiest.
Can you cover an old tattoo?
Most of the time yes. Send a clear, well-lit photo on WhatsApp and we'll talk through options.
Will a cover-up be bigger than the original?
Usually yes — a cover-up needs more space and darker tones to hide what's underneath.
Is the studio licensed?
Yes — fully licensed and registered with Leicester City Council.
What's your minimum age?
18 with photo ID. We don't tattoo under-18s, even with parental consent.
Do you tattoo pregnant or breastfeeding clients?
No — we ask you to wait until after for safety reasons.
Can I tattoo over a mole or scar?
Moles no — we tattoo around them. Scars yes, once they're at least 1 year old and fully healed.
First tattoo — what do I need to know?
Eat beforehand, hydrate, no alcohol the night before. Wear something that exposes the area easily, and arrive 5 minutes early to settle in.
